Antique, possibly early Showa period? Wooden box, lunch box?
24.75 $
Description
Wooden tea box with a handle, featuring multiple storage compartments and decorative metal fittings. Possibly a bento box or tiered food container. The interior boxes show minimal damage to the lacquer. This is a personal item, and while I'm not entirely sure, I believe it to be a valuable antique.
There is a Toku (徳) stamp on the underside of the base.
It has an interesting mechanism: push from the three holes in the back to pull it out from the front.
Approximate dimensions are: width 23 cm, height 23.5 cm, depth 15 cm.
Suitable for display, as an ornament,
or for historical research.
Thank you for looking.
