Vtg Southwest Native American Coiled Basket Tray 10” x 8” Wool Accents Handwoven

Vintage Southwest Native American Coiled Basket Tray 10 x 8 Wool Accents Handwoven Note: Vintage wear but nothing uncoiled or torn:::: Very nice collectible Info from AI: * The coiled construction is very regular and tightly wrapped, which is characteristic of Southwest basketry. * The foundation material looks like bundled grass or yuccar * The wool yarn accents (orange, purple, turquoise, and pink) wrapped around the rim and woven into the four cross-like motifs are especially reminiscent of baskets made by Apache or Navajo weavers for the tourist market during the mid-20th century. * The shallow oval tray form is also common in Southwest decorative baskets. * Design: The four small geometric cross motifs and the simple oval shape are consistent with Southwest decorative styles. * Thanks Ground Advantage Mail
