Vintage "Rain for Rent" Irrigation Employee Belt Buckle 1970s Era Sandcast Unmkd
Rain for Rent Irrigation
Rain for Rent is a well-known American company known for their irrigation systems and pumps. This particular buckle was most likely a 1970s employee issue. Later issues were reintroduced and dated 1934-1984 to celebrate their 50th anniversary year. Design Elements: The front features the company's classic umbrella logo with raindrops falling over the top, surrounded by the embossed text RAIN FOR RENT. The back is striated, usually indicating a smaller batch sand cast or open foundry cast buckle. It is made of a non-ferrous metal (the buckle plate does not attract a magnet, only the back belt loop does). It was finished with a brass tone lacquer and antiqued black to bring out the texture details. No cracks or breaks, detail still good. Spotty finish wear noted from use/wear. See photos to complete description.
