Vintage Jekyll & Hyde Club NYC Green Tiki Mug Headhunter 6.75”

Vintage green ceramic tiki mug made for the notorious Jekyll & Hyde Club, the former New York City restaurant known for its haunted-house atmosphere, theatrical décor, animatronic characters and horror-themed dining experience. The raised “Jekyll & Hyde Club” lettering appears above a detailed warrior or headhunter-style face that wraps around the mug.  The restaurant opened in Greenwich Village in the early 1990s and became a well-known destination for themed dining. Specialty cocktails were served in souvenir tiki-style mugs that guests could take home, making these pieces collectible among fans of the restaurant, New York City memorabilia, tiki barware and horror décor.  The sculpted ceramic mug has a glossy deep green glaze with darker detailing and all-over glaze crazing consistent with its age and finish.
