Gzhel Vase VTG Handmade Porcelain Blue/White 5,75 in Tall Signed Excellent Condition--no chips, cracks or repairs. Like new--kept in display cabinet. Never used.  Gzhel medium size multi-sided vase hand painted in typical Gzhel style with cobalt blue flowers and designs painted on a white background. The vase is signed by a Gzhel master craftsman who hand wrote his initials (L.X.) on the bottom of the piece before it was fired. To the left of the artist's initials is a Gzhel hallmark for the Gzhel Production Association. This particular brown stamp was used post 1991. The 1818 under the hallmark is the founding year of the Gzhel factory. The red triangle stamp to the left is a sort or grade indication. Although difficult to see, it looks to be 1st Sort (1C). This vase was never used and was kept in a display cabinet with other Gzhel items in a collection.
