Description
Vintage Taxco Sterling Silver Abalone Aztec Mexico Large Handmade Pin Pendant I've owned this piece since 1993 and it has been in my personal collection since. Wonderful Aztec round medallion with center eagle and abalone mother of pearl accents. The piece measures 2 1/4 in diameter and has a sturdy locking pin and eye to hang as a necklace. Overall weight of the pin is 18.7 grams and is signed on the back: STERLING ~ TAXCO ~ MEXICO ~ PLATA ~ 925 with two other letters below I am unable to read. The pin does have tarnish and there is a little bit of damage / age to the abalone inlay on the bottom section. Overall an amazing vintage sterling silver handmade piece.
