Vintage Shandon Lahinch Golf Club Ireland Flat Cap Plaid Wool Robert McCavery L
Shandon
Vintage Shandon Lahinch Golf Club Ireland Flat Cap Plaid Wool Hat Robert McCavery L This is an incredibly rare, museum-quality piece of Irish golfing heritage: a custom-made vintage Shandon flat cap explicitly commissioned for legendary PGA professional Robert McCavery of the world-famous Lahinch Golf Club in County Clare, Ireland. The McCavery family legacy is foundational to Lahinch, with Robert serving over 50 years at the course following his father Bill’s tenure alongside architect Alister MacKenzie. * Front Emblem: Features the iconic embroidered Lahinch Wild Goat and shamrock crest. * Fabric & Pattern: Heavyweight premium wool construction in a classic, deep navy and dark green Black Watch tartan plaid. * Interior Labeling: Beautiful vintage diamond silk label by Shandon (Made in Ireland) featuring the traditional horse-and-hound illustration. * The Provenance Ribbon: Custom inner ribbon clearly states: Robert McCavery, Professional, Lahinch G C. * Size: Marked Men's Large (Fitted 7 1/4 or European 59 cm). Fits approximately 23.2 head circumference. Condition Note: This item is in excellent pre-owned vintage condition with outstanding structural integrity. The wool exterior remains clean and vibrant. Given its true vintage age, there is some mild, natural age-toning/fading along the interior tan lining and inner sweatband rim, which is documented closely in the photo gallery. Please review all photos of the inner ribbon print and tags before purchasing.
