Antique Victorian Carved Furniture Crest Pediment Pine Cone 16-1/4"

Antique Victorian carved furniture crest or pediment featuring a beautifully hand-carved raised pine cone motif. Measuring approximately 16¼ inches long, 6¼ inches tall, and ¾ inch thick, this original decorative wood appliqué was designed to be mounted across the front of a piece of furniture such as a dresser, wardrobe, cabinet, hall tree, washstand, or mirror. It appears to be made from a dark hardwood, possibly walnut, although the exact wood species is unknown.  This is an authentic late 19th-century piece dating approximately 1875–1900. It retains its rich aged patina and hand-carved detail, making it desirable for antique furniture restoration, architectural salvage projects, or as a unique decorative accent for farmhouse, rustic, Victorian, or eclectic interiors.  Condition is consistent with its age. It has age-related shrinkage cracks, surface wear, old mounting holes, and minor edge losses from over a century of use.
