Vintage 1950s Walgreen First Aid Tin, Handy Emergency Kit, Americana Advertising

Vintage mid-century Walgreen Co. “Physicians Surgeons First Aid Handy Emergency Kit” tin in classic red, white, and blue Americana colors. Originally sold for the home, car, or office, this compact medical kit once contained cotton, gauze pads, quick strips, adhesive tape, antiseptic, and instructions, all listed on the lid. Contents are no longer present; this listing is for the empty display tin only.  Walgreen Co. was the predecessor of today’s Walgreens, making this a neat piece of American drugstore history. The graphics, typography, and patriotic color palette make it a great display piece for medical collections, pharmacy memorabilia, vintage advertising, Independence Day decor, or rustic Americana vignettes.  Size: 6” x 4” x 1.5”  Condition: Honest age-related wear throughout with surface rust, paint loss, scratches, oxidation, and rust to the interior and underside.
