Suunto A-10 Compass

◾︎ A minimalist baseplate compass for hikers and scouts
Quick to operate, simple, and accurate, the A-10 baseplate compass is easy to learn and ideal for navigation with a map and compass. For distance calculations, the A-10 has metric and imperial scales printed in red for visibility on topographic maps.
The Earth's magnetic field is not uniform across magnetic poles. To overcome this, the A-10 has two types of needles: one for the Northern Hemisphere and one for the Southern Hemisphere.
The Earth's magnetic field is not uniform across magnetic poles. To compensate for the natural declination of the magnetic field, Suunto compasses use one of two balance systems, so please choose the one that best suits your needs.
One is a dual-zone system that balances the needle in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. The other is our unique global balance system. A single needle is balanced and works anywhere in the world. This is made possible by a groundbreaking design that allows the needle and magnet to be tilted separately.

Please consider.
