Vintage 1970s Sculptural Wicker Canoe Basket

Vintage 1970's impressive oversized wicker basket makes a statement all by itself. Handwoven from natural reeds in warm honey, reddish, and subtle olive green tones, the colors blend beautifully throughout the weave, giving it wonderful depth and texture. Perfect at the foot of a bed with quilts, filled with rolled spa towels, displaying teddy bears, dolls, or seasonal décor, or simply as a sculptural piece in a basket collection. It remains sturdy for display, though because of its vintage age I would not recommend carrying heavy loads by the handle. There are scattered areas of unraveling reeds and expected scuffing on the underside from years of use, all shown in the photos.  Size: 28” long, 18” wide, 19.5” tall to top of handle.  Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related wear, scattered loose/unraveling reeds, and surface wear to the underside. Structurally sound for decorative use.
