Muse's Atlanta Men's Shop VINTAGE Clothes Hanger Advertising Batts Wishbone

Rare Find!  A wonderful vintage Batts wooden clothes hanger from Muse's, a well-known upscale men's clothing store in Atlanta.   The hanger is marked with Muse's company logo and location and embossed with hanger manufacturer's registered name and location info: WISHBONE BATTS GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. U.S.A.  The George Muse Clothing Company was established in 1879 and was known as the style center of the South. The flagship store in Atlanta opened in 1921. There were 10 stores in the Atlanta area during their heyday. The stores were closed in 1996.  Estimated age - late 1970s to 1990's Gorgeous red lacquer with brass tone metal hardware  Approx. measurements 17 wide X 9-5/8 tall  Very good used condition, some light marks from use, but no damage.  This found treasure has been gently used and does have some scuffs/wear marks but they do not affect the functionality of the item. Sold As-Is. See all photos for more info.
