Vintage Steinheil Munchen Cassar S 50mm f/2.8 - from 1954

This Steinheil Cassar S with the serial number 1206576 was manufactured in 1954. During the post-WWII era, Steinheil in Munich experienced explosive growth, and the production numbers rapidly increased, passing the 1,000,000 mark by the early 1950s.  The Cassar-S is a well-regarded 3-element triplet lens, typically seen as a 50mm f/2.8 lens produced for M42 and Exakta mount cameras.  This is a very good, well cared for example of this vintage lens.  The barrel of the lens is quite nice for being 76 years old.  The glass is nice with no visible signs of fungus or mold, no scratches or cleaning marks, no separation and no noticeable dust.  The focus ring moves nicely.  The Cassar-S lenses had a clickless exposure ring as does this one and it works nicely.  This lens has an M42 screw mount and ships with front and rear lens caps.  Please message with questions.
