Vintage Elizabeth Arden Mille Fleurs Dusting Powder Box 4 1/4 oz. EUC. Antique items originated in 1939. The line was considered a luxury line and, for some, was considered a connection to a bygone time of elegance and refinement. The essence was French, and ingredients were sourced from Grasse and were known for their unmatched quality were prized. The box still has a lingering smell of powder. The war devastated the supply chain. The perfume was discontinued in 1948 as a result, but lingered stock lingered until 1951. It came in perfume, lipsticks, cream rouges, and nail polishes, which allowed women to coordinate their makeup with the floral elegance of the scent. The finely milled dusting powder could be used after a bath or as a finished touch to evening attire. The most opulent in the line was the perfume.
