Handmade Baby Blanket – Pastel Rainbow Stripes in Airy Crochet Stitch

Sweet, colorful, and cozy — this handmade baby blanket is full of soft charm and cheerful vibes. It’s stitched in playful rainbow sherbet colors (coral, peach, yellow, mint, and cream) using a light, airy crochet pattern that gives it a soft and squishy feel. The stitch creates rows of gentle braids or waves — eye-catching and full of personality.  🧶 Details: Size: approx. 28” x 36” Yarn: Caron Cakes (100% acrylic) Machine washable (gentle cycle, cold water)  New, never used  Due to the nature of handmade crafts (at least ones by me), there will be variation and errors. This was my first time doing this stitch and there is some inconsistency in the gage on first and last row resulting in a slightly less than perfect rectangle.  Due to the open, textured nature of the stitch pattern, certain loops can be pulled up with tension — especially by little fingers. (See photo for an example.) These can be gently worked back into place from the opposite side with a crochet hook or yarn needle. (Although I usually  just use my fingers.)  As with any blanket, please don’t leave babies unattended while using it — soft blankets should always be used under supervision.
