Domino Signature Black 8-3/4" Champagne Flute, Set‎ of 3

Set of three vintage clear glass champagne flutes with black stems. Champagne flutes, characterized by their tall, slender shape, were designed to preserve the carbonation in champagne and enhance its visual appeal. The tall, narrow bowl allows the bubbles to travel upwards, creating a continuous stream of effervescence, while the narrow opening minimizes surface area, slowing down the dissipation of aromas and bubbles. The stem allows the drinker to hold the glass without warming the beverage with their hand. Black stemware, particularly in the mid-20th century, offered a modern and sophisticated aesthetic, contrasting with the traditional clear glass. This style became popular during periods of design innovation, adding a touch of drama and elegance to table settings. Such pieces are often found in sets, intended for celebratory occasions like weddings, anniversaries, or New Year's Eve.
