About 20 years ago, when I visited Guangzhou, China, there was an area called Little Africa where many Black people used to live.
I wandered into the area out of curiosity and purchased this African fabric from a small shop.

I have been collecting fabrics for a long time, and at first glance, I recognized it as indigo-dyed fabric from Burkina Faso, Africa. I purchased it after a lengthy negotiation.

The African seller was quite assertive during the negotiation, but once we reached an agreement, he became very friendly, treated me to beer and snacks, which are good memories.
