?Hard Akadamatsuchi (Two-line)
This is the highest grade Akadamatsuchi, hard and resistant to crumbling, used as a base soil in our blend. It is more resistant to crumbling than other hard or baked Akadamatsuchi. It is a slightly acidic soil with very little nutrients and good aeration, forming a granular structure that mosses prefer.
?Perlite
When mixed throughout, it provides uniform water retention.
?Fuji Sand
This is finely ground volcanic rock. Its porous nature allows moss rhizoids to easily anchor.
?Charcoal
It adjusts the pH to prevent the soil from becoming too acidic and adsorbs waste products from moss, acting as a purifier.

[Ideal Soil for Moss Terrariums]
1. Nutrient-poor soil
Moss does not require a lot of nutrients.
2. Clean soil
Since it will be grown in a closed glass container, use the cleanest soil possible. Undecayed organic matter like dead leaves can cause mold to grow.
3. Granular soil
Granular soil allows air and water to penetrate more easily than clay-like soil.
4. Slightly acidic soil
Strictly speaking, the preferred soil pH varies by moss species, but most mosses used in terrariums prefer slightly acidic soil.
