This Black Long Eggplant is the long type of the Black Eggplant.
It is a representative variety of Japanese eggplant, but the long type is not commonly available.
The Shin Kuro Naga Nasu (Black Long Eggplant) has:
- A long fruit shape with good color and sheen.
- Strong heat tolerance, with minimal color fading even during peak summer.
- Thin skin, soft flesh, and excellent taste.
- A cylindrical shape, making it convenient for slicing.

Seeds were harvested from eggplants picked last fall.
Grown using natural farming methods, so they are pesticide-free

The original seeds were purchased from Tsurushin Seed and Seedling Store.

As these are open-pollinated seeds, you can grow delicious eggplants every year by saving seeds.
It is said that interplanting with companion plants such as edamame, peanuts, and parsley
helps them grow very well and become more delicious.
Grown using straw mulch instead of plastic mulch.
