What is Tamaryu (玉竜)?
Just plant it, and you'll have a hassle-free green carpet.
This is a small, evergreen perennial plant, a horticultural variety of the plant also known as Ryunohige (Dragon's Beard) or Janohige (Snake's Beard).
Its dense, dark green, slender leaves create a beautiful landscape year-round.
It is highly resistant to heat and cold, and can adapt to a wide range of environments, from sunny to shady areas. It is also resistant to pests and diseases, making it easy for beginners to grow.
With a height of only about 5-10 cm and very little growth, it does not require regular mowing like a lawn.
It is primarily used as a ground cover plant for weed prevention in gardens, greening shady areas, and protecting soil (from drying, weathering, and erosion).
Once established, no fertilizing or watering is necessary.
It is also used as a medicinal ingredient called Bakumonto (Ophiopogon japonicus), as it stores nutrients in its roots.

Handling Upon Arrival:
Please check the contents and leave a review.
Then, please plant it as soon as possible.
When planting, it will establish even if the roots are cut to some extent.
For about two weeks after planting, please water lightly to keep the soil from drying out.
Once established, fertilizing and watering are generally not required. Rainwater is usually sufficient, but please water if dry spells persist.
Tamaryu is hardy and will not die easily, but if you cannot plant it immediately, please water it enough to prevent it from drying out.
Occasionally, you may notice yellowing on some leaves, but this does not affect its growth.
