MAPPIN & WEBBSilver Plate on CopperCompote

Description
This is a compote dish from MAPPIN & WEBB, a long-established British silversmith.
This is an antique piece of tableware with silver plating over a copper base.
The openwork design on the rim and the all-over paisley engraving inside make this a truly beautiful item.
It was used at the dining table for about 40 years and then stored in a warehouse, but it has recently been carefully polished again.
It has the characteristic brilliant reflection of silver,
and simply placing apples, lemons, or baked goods on it creates a wonderful atmosphere.
There is one small black spot (a change in plating) in the center.
In addition, there are minor scuffs from polishing, but the overall condition is good.
The size is approximately 30cm in diameter
and about 8cm in height.
It also makes a statement as a decorative plate.
Recommended for those who love a sparkling silver luster,
and for those who appreciate British antiques and classic tableware.
