Gima Okinawa Blueberry Evergreen Tree
Gima
Scientific Name: Vaccinium wrightii
It produces cute, bell-shaped flowers with a faint pink hue, very similar to blueberries and pieris. The berries ripen to black and are edible, leading to it being affectionately known as Okinawan Blueberry. The Japanese name (Gima) originates from the Ryukyuan dialect. This plant has become rare due to overharvesting and environmental changes.
As plants are very delicate items, please be aware that minor scratches or leaf damage may occur during shipping due to environmental factors such as shaking and temperature changes. We kindly ask for your understanding before placing your order.
