The Mutsumi Wan (bowl) is imbued with the wish that a couple will always be in harmony and beautiful.
The gold lines of maki-e applied to the rim and base of the bowl not only make the bowl look gorgeous,
but also symbolize marital harmony as they form a circle around the rim, and the double lines signify a couple always staying close together.
The moist finish of genuine lacquer and the beauty of the maki-e gold lines will add color to your dining table.
Made by carving natural wood on a potter's wheel, they are light, resistant to cracking, and difficult to conduct heat, making them ideal for enjoying warm dishes.
