Description
Yanagiba knife, blade length 21.8cm, 138g. The spine is approximately 2.7mm thick near the heel. The brand is Unicorn1300, but we don't know the manufacturer even though it occasionally arrives. A previous Nakiri knife that arrived had an inspection tag with a date from Showa 40 (1965). It's a Showa-era brand. It's all stainless steel. Don't underestimate it just because it's old; it has considerable hardness. It appears to be unused, with minimal wear on both the blade and the handle. It seems usable like new-old stock. It has been thoroughly sharpened, honed, and polished.
