【Exclusive】Natural Whetstone Finishing Polish
This natural whetstone belonged to my grandfather, who ran a construction company specializing in carpentry for palaces and tea houses in Kyoto.
It is believed to be a finishing whetstone, known as Suiita or Uchigumori, produced in areas like Kyoto's Shohonzan.
Features:
Appearance: The base color is gray to whitish, with brown or ochre spots and patterns. This is a characteristic of natural stones and creates a unique finish when sharpening metal.
Use: Primarily used for the final finishing of tools such as planes, chisels, and kitchen knives.
Rarity: High-quality natural whetstones are currently very rare and can be traded at high prices as antiques or specialized tools.
- Material: Natural Whetstone
- Shape: Rectangular
