Purchased from Mr. Hatanaka at my shop about 30 years ago.
The Junshin mark has faded due to use, but the Maruka mark on the side is still clear.
A Nakayama whetstone for the final finishing of delicate sharpening.
This is a high-quality whetstone with bark on the bottom, which is dense and has a quality not found in recent whetstones.
In my opinion, it pairs well with old Tokyo planes and products from Yoita. Perhaps it's the compatibility with the base metal, but it works particularly well.
