Description
Please read my profile first!
This is a slide rule made by Hemmi (SUN HEMMI), a long-established manufacturer founded in 1895.
It is a tool for performing complex calculations such as multiplication and division analogously using logarithmic scales, and was widely used as an essential item by engineers, scientists, and students until around the 1970s, before the popularization of calculators.
A major feature is the use of Moso bamboo, which is native to Japan.
