Cactus perches are recommended by veterinarians in the US. The unique honeycomb-like holes and bumpy texture of cactus skeletons are said to keep birds' foot muscles in good condition.
It is a natural perch rich in minerals and calcium, safe to chew, prevents overgrowth of beaks, and provides nutrition.
A perch of approximately 8-10mm is inserted into the cactus skeleton and secured with wooden screws. No adhesive is used for the screws.
After sourcing, cactus skeletons are repeatedly boiled and disinfected for about 4-5 hours to remove impurities, then air-dried before processing.
