This is the Takibi Nata (Bonfire Hatchet) from Baba Cho Cutlery, a long-established blacksmith in Sanjo.
This is a rare laminated steel (Damascus) model, combining beautiful appearance with a sharp cutting edge.
It's the perfect size for batoning (wood splitting) as well as detailed work like making feather sticks. The full-tang construction makes it extremely robust.
• Condition: Used for camping, but there are no chips on the blade. It has been oiled and stored after use.
The laminated steel model is the higher-end version.
