Ryūteki Bamboo Smoked Bamboo Japanese Musical Instrument Gagaku

Thank you for viewing my listing.

This Ryūteki was passed down to me by an acquaintance, but I am listing it as it has been used infrequently. After receiving it and trying to blow into it a little, I found that the bore is just right and the thick walls allow for a wide range of tones, resonating well from high to low notes. I am listing this item hoping to pass it on to someone who is interested in this flute and will cherish it. Please understand that this is a used item.

[Origin of the Ryūteki]
The Ryu (dragon) in Ryūteki has been considered a connection between heaven and earth since ancient times, and the instrument known as Ryūteki, which uses this character, was cherished as an instrument that connects heaven and earth. Furthermore, the inside of the tube is lacquered vermilion, and vermilion is said to be the color of life's revival, so the Ryūteki is also said to be an instrument that revives life. I hope you will take this instrument, imbued with such meaning, into your hands and try playing it.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment. I sincerely look forward to your consideration.
