By combining it with the separately sold microphone EP-2350 ting fx, you can add the vocal expression inherent to Reggae/Dub.
The EP-40 riddim supertone is the third installment in Teenage Engineering's EP series. It's a loop player-type beat machine that brings Reggae/Dub grooves back into modern production environments. It integrates a sampler, sequencer, and composer into a single unit, seamlessly covering everything from production to live performance. It includes over 300 sounds recorded by legendary Reggae producers, allowing you to instantly create everything from classic rhythms to modern Dub arrangements.
The highest degree of freedom in the EP series, designed with live performance in mind.
The EP-40 is equipped with numerous features optimized for live performance, such as MIDI sync, grid sync loops, and real-time FX control. The subtractive synth engine Supertone allows you to freely generate sounds ranging from thick, undulating Dub bass to sharp lead sounds. You can also intuitively perform Dub siren effects using the pressure-sensitive keys. With 12-voice stereo/16-voice polyphony and 128MB of sampling memory, it is the most expressive model in the EP series.
