I fell in love with this at first sight during a past trip and purchased it. I kept it carefully stored because I didn't want to damage it. If you look closely, the queen's attire features traditional patterns, showcasing its Uzbek origin.
The board is meticulously crafted with depictions of mosques, deserts, camel caravans, and tile patterns. I believe artisans were painting or creating them on-site.
This is a foreign-made item. While it is new, it differs from new items made in Japan. Please purchase with an understanding of foreign folk crafts.
Thank you for looking.
