Vintage 1950’s Tropical Banana Hibiscus Tablecloth 34“ Square Crochet Edge MCM

Vintage 1950s Tropical Banana Hibiscus Tablecloth 34 Square Crochet Edge MCM   This is a vintage FUN tropical banana-print tablecloth or small square topper, that measures approximately 34 × 34 including the crocheted edging. The bold banana leaves, yellow banana clusters, red hibiscus-like flowers, gray background, and dark brown outlining are very characteristic of mid-century tropical textiles, most likely late 1940s-1950s, possibly into the early 1960s. The separately worked hand-crocheted gray edging is another nice period detail. The fabric appears to be a cotton or cotton/rayon-type woven fabric.  There are no holes, however, there is a small brown/tan staining or discoloration, near the edge around the 32-34 tape measure area. I almost missed it, because it blends into the fabric and is not very noticeable.
