Pleasant Company American Girl Samantha's Christmas Carols Music Box, Ret. WORKS

Samantha's Music Box ~ Retired Early First Version American Girl / Pleasant Company One of Samantha's special presents on Christmas morning was a bright red album of carols with a music box in it. This miniature version has tiny pages filled with Christmas songs that American girls have been singing for more than a hundred years. And at the back is a tiny music box that plays Samantha's favorite carol, O Christmas Tree. Samantha's Christmas Music Box was introduced to Samantha's Collection in 1986 and like Samantha, was retired in 2008 with Samantha's archival. It is associated with the book Samantha's Surprise. Red booklet shaped music box. First version with cover text written in all upper case letters (later versions were written in upper and lower case letters). The music and lyrics for the carols are different than in later versions. Music box still works. Shows signs of age. Satin ribbon is frayed. Please look closely at the photos.
