Vintage Mid Century Hand Carved Wooden Spoon Primitive Folk Art Rustic 8"

Vintage hand-carved wooden spoon with a rustic, primitive folk-art character. The spoon features a broad, shallow teardrop-shaped bowl with visible carving/tool marks and a long, slender handle ending in a distinctive pointed tip. Warm reddish-brown wood has developed an attractive aged patina and has naturally varied grain. Unmarked. Approximately 8 long and 2 wide. A charming decorative or collectible piece for a primitive, rustic, farmhouse or folk art collection. Its age and original use are unknown but this item was found in a box among other collectives from the 1930s-1950s so assumed mid-century age. Condition: Surface scratches, scuffs, areas of finish loss and other minor imperfections consistent with age and hand use. Finish is worn in places, particularly along the handle and back of the bowl. There is some discoloration and general surface wear. Wood appears solid overall with no obvious cracks or breaks.
