This is a Hakata Doll. Specifically, this Doll is a type of Hakata Doll called Kuroda Bushi, modeled after Mori Tahei, who served Kuroda Josui and Nagamasa.

Hakata Dolls are traditional crafts rooted in Hakata, Fukuoka Prefecture, made by painting unglazed dolls.

With a history of over 400 years, they became known nationwide in the late Edo period and received high praise at international expositions in the Meiji era.

In addition to realistic beauty figures, a wide range of subjects are produced, including warrior figures, child figures, Kabuki/Noh figures, and festival figures.

They are known for their calming colors that convey the warmth of the earth, as well as their rich expressions and delicate carvings.

Hakata Doll artisans also create the dolls for the Hakata Gion Yamakasa decorative and carrying floats.

It will be shipped with bubble wrap packaging.
The spear will be removed for packaging.
