Kyo-yaki / Heian / Takano Shoami / Mizusashi (freshwater container) / Sometsuke (blue and white porcelain) / Imogashira (taro-shaped finial) / Tea ceremony utensils
This is a Zui-imo-gashira mizusashi (water jar) made by Heian Shoami.
This is an attractive imo-gashira-shaped mizusashi with a rounded form.
Although it is decorated with blue underglaze alone, the water jar features excellent painting with a sense of vibrancy created by the variations in color intensity.
There is also a design on the underside of the lid, making it lovely when opened and propped up.
Imo-gashira mizusashi are often used around early winter, but this mizusashi, with its refreshing blue underglaze design, can be used year-round.
It is particularly suitable for the upcoming furo (brazier) season.
Although it has been used very little since purchase, it has been stored at home for a long time. The box is also slightly soiled.
Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such details.
