This is a medium-sized natsume (tea caddy) with a bamboo leaf maki-e (lacquer decoration) design by Sōtetsu Nakamura XI, the 11th generation lacquer artist of the Senke Jisshoku (Ten Craftsmen Families of the Senke School).
There is a scratched signature by Sōtetsu on the bottom.
Comes with its original box and cloth.
Authenticated by Hōunsai, the 15th Grand Master of Urasenke.
There is a red inscription.
This is an elegant and gorgeous medium-sized natsume, with bamboo leaf maki-e beautifully contrasting against the black background.
