We are offering these items at a loss to use up the materials left by our previous two generations and to mark the end of our family business.

This is a 3-piece set of finely joined susudake (smoked bamboo) from a traditional house demolition in Ehime, Shikoku.

All three pieces are made from the same genuine susudake (same material).

Process: Material selection → Part shaping → Gluing → Overall shaping → Finishing and polishing

We have very little natural susudake left that can be used for making tea ceremony utensils.

The tea scoop has a Rikyu-style tip.
The lid of the bamboo tube is shaped like a White Cloud Lid, as named by a certain monk (the tea scoop lid has wormholes).
The black bamboo was carefully selected from a long-established bamboo material store in Naniwa Teramachi.
No box included due to sale.
Made by the fourth-generation carver, Kouseki (direct sale).

Tea scoop: Approx. 183mm x 11mm (tip width)
Sweet tongs: 240mm x 8mm (handle width)
Sweet pick: 108mm long x 8mm (handle width)

The tea scoop and sweet tongs are in a black bamboo tube.
The sweet pick comes in a Nishijin-ori silk pouch.
No paulownia wood box.
