Vintage Portmeirion Botanic Garden Ceramic Canister Set of 4 | 1970s
Portmeirion
Vintage set of four graduated Portmeirion Botanic Garden ceramic storage canisters with wooden lids, designed by Susan Williams-Ellis and made in England. Each canister features a different botanical illustration with flowers, butterflies and insects. The set includes Amaryllis Reginae (Mexican Lily), Gazania Ringens (Treasure Flower), Colchicum (Meadow Saffron) and Cyclamen Repandum. All four retain their wooden lids and seals. The ceramic canisters are in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks noted. The wooden lids show some surface wear and variation to the finish consistent with age and use. Seals remain intact and fit tightly. Bases feature the early Portmeirion Botanic Garden Trophy backstamp associated with the early years of the collection. The set weighs approximately 10 lbs combined; and the largest canister is 8.25 tall and 5 in diameter. Please see photos for measurements, condition and additional details.
