Junya Watanabe MAN 23AW Innerraum Vest

Introducing the new Innerraum Vest ② from Junya Watanabe MAN's 23AW collection.

This brand was founded in Berlin, Germany in 2012 by an Italian designer and an anthropologist.

Originally an eyewear brand (KUBORAUM), INNERRAUM was launched as a new spin-off project.

INNERRAUM bags are created by joining small parts, resembling armor used in protectors, together with rivets.

The beauty imagined from their futuristic look is described not as fashion, but as art and sculptural accessories.

This season, INNERRAUM, which usually creates bags and other items, has provided parts that are then mixed into JUNYA MAN's original clothing. This collection expresses INNERRAUM's futuristic design through JUNYA MAN's unique filter, rendered entirely in black.

The protector-like parts used in INNERRAUM products are created by combining pre-existing small parts.

A characteristic feature is that these parts are not originally designed but utilize various existing molds found in the world. By joining these parts with rivets, items are created as if they were intentionally designed from the beginning.

In the collaboration with JUNYA MAN, there are two design approaches: 1) receiving partially assembled parts and attaching them to the clothing as part of the design using rivets, and 2) receiving unassembled parts and incorporating them into the clothing's design.
