Pumpkin Pie Ceramic Pie Dish - Brown and Cream

Decorated recipe plates gained immense popularity in domestic kitchens during the 1970s and 1980s, combining functional bakeware with charming, folksy illustrations. These pieces were frequently produced in Japanese ceramics factories that specialized in export novelty items for the American retail market. The inclusion of complete step-by-step instructions and ingredient lists directly on the cooking surface served both an instructional purpose and a purely decorative one for autumn tablescapes. Such items became staples of seasonal holiday baking traditions, often handed down through generations as cherished pieces of Americana kitchen nostalgia. Notice the small chip on outside.
