Vintage 1949 Oneida English Garden flat-handle master butter knife produced under the Simeon L. & George H. Rogers Company name. This elegant silverplate serving piece features raised floral and scroll decorations, a flat asymmetrical blade and a polished silver-colored finish. The dull edge is correct for a master butter knife, which is intended for slicing and serving butter at the table. The back is marked: “Simeon L. & George H. Rogers Company X/TRA Oneida Ltd.” Preowned vintage condition with a bright finish and visible surface scratches consistent with age and normal use. No monogram. One knife is included.
