Fenton

32.00 $
Description
Carnival glass was first produced in the early 1900s by American glassmakers including Fenton, Northwood, and Imperial. The distinctive iridescent finish was achieved by spraying metallic salts onto hot pressed glass, creating the rainbow-like sheen that mimics expensive Tiffany glass at a fraction of the cost. The Stippled Rays pattern, featuring radiating lines from a central point, was a popular design produced primarily between 1908 and 1920. Carnival glass bowls like this are highly sought after by collectors of American pressed glass and early 20th-century decorative arts. The marigold color is one of the most common but remains beloved for its warm, golden iridescence. These pieces appeal to vintage glassware enthusiasts, carnival glass collectors, and those interested in affordable Art Nouveau-era decorative objects. The ruffled edge and excellent iridescence make this piece particularly desirable to collectors who appreciate both the craftsmanship and the nostalgic charm of early American glass production. Please note there is a visible scratch on the bottom of the dish. Please refer to the close ups.
