Red and black lacquerware lidded confectionery container, 18cm, with maki-e butterfly orchid pattern, unused in box
Ships quickly. Please be sure to read our profile before purchasing.
This is a retro Showa-era confectionery container, unused and in its original box. It is a gold maki-e item, a decorative technique in lacquerware where maki-e is created using pure gold powder. This is proof of its high craftsmanship and precious materials. The elegant crimson and deep, glossy black of the lacquerware are beautiful, and the gorgeous butterfly orchids drawn with gold powder are eye-catching. The artist's name sticker is attached to the underside of the lid. It measures approximately 18cm, with a height of about 6.5cm including the lid. It will be shipped in this box. Although it appears unused, the box shows signs of age-related deterioration. We are looking for someone who understands vintage items.
