[Condition]
As they are unused, there is no peeling of the gold leaf, and they retain a beautiful luster.
The original box shows some signs of age from storage, but this does not affect the protection of the contents.
[Recommended Uses]
As individual serving plates for New Year's dishes, or for Japanese sweets like manju or yokan.
They can also be used as stylish Japanese-modern interior accessories, such as for a jewelry tray or as a base for an incense holder.
The iris pattern is associated with victory (勝負 - shobu, sounding like iris - ayame) and is also considered a protective charm and a symbol of good fortune, making these plates perfect for celebratory occasions.
