Description
This is a large, lacquered wooden *chōshi* (sake ewer) made in the second year of the Kaei era, 180 years ago. It is a set of impressive *chōshi* in their original wooden box from 180 years ago.
As this is an antique item, there are minor damages, about the size of a toothpick head, on the base of one handle and the rim of a lid, with some paint peeling (Photos 13 & 14). However, these are barely noticeable, and the rest of the pieces are in excellent condition, with no issues for use or display.
The lacquer on the body is free of peeling, dents, or minor scratches.
The condition is good, considering it was made 180 years ago (as it has been stored without use for a long time, this is a kura-dashi item).
Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a new, perfect item.
