Vtg Rhythm 4RH678 Quartz Motion Clock Dancing Couples Stairway To Heaven Japan!

This item is a Vintage, (late 1980’s – early 1990’s), Rhythm Quartz Melody / Anniversary Clock (Model No. 4RH678 / 4RH678BR). Manufactured in Japan by the highly collectible Rhythm Clock Co., this specific model with an all genuine glass dome is famously nicknamed the Stairway to Heaven or Dancing Couples motion clock. At the top of the hour, the inner platform spins, causing the miniature golden ballroom figures to glide and rotate past a tiered geometric spiral staircase backdrop while a classic electronic melody plays. Perfect for collectors, this- 7” L x 6” W/D x 11” H (without the case on it, with the case it is all the same but the height is 12”). Sits beautifully on any countertop, desk, wall shelf, night stand, dresser, mantle.. truly anywhere it is, it makes the room brighter and is an eye-catcher for sure! The only flaw at all on the entire piece is that the bottom battery cover is missing, but the batteries stay in place the entire time the item is moved from place to place and it is something you cannot see because it is on the bottom of it. Other than that, when I tell you that the pressed wood composite sitting around the rim of the clock with a quartz face - every part of it is without wear or even a scratch on it. Having a glass dome elevates the value. At the same time, the internal pieces are deliberately lightweight plastic so that the tiny, battery-operated internal motor can easily spin the ballroom dancers without burning out! Don’t miss out on this!
