Floriberto Bustillos Xalitla Mexican Folk Art Tequila Shot Cups Set 4

WHAT IT IS Beautiful set of 4 Floriberto Bustillos hand-painted pottery tequila cups from Xalitla, Guerrero, Mexico. Each cup features a different intricate black-and-cream narrative scene depicting village life, people, mountains, flowers and traditional imagery. One cup is signed on the base “Floriberto Bustillos / Xalitla Gro.” Bustillos is a recognized Xalitla master artisan known for telling the stories, customs and everyday life of his community through detailed artwork on clay, amate paper, glass and wood. His small tequila cups are especially remarkable for the amount of storytelling worked into such a small surface. The cups have warm reddish-brown glazed interiors and slightly irregular handmade forms that add to their folk-art character.
