Nishiki-de Imari Ware ○○ Hibachi (Fire Bowl) *Includes Wooden Box❗️
★ This is one item from my father's collection, who passed away over 10 years ago. It is a Kin-de Imari ware hibachi (brazier) in a wooden box.
(I was unable to decipher the two characters in the product name. It did not appear in Mercari's image search.)
◉ This hibachi is believed to have been received as a gift by my father, who was a carpenter, in the late Showa or early Heisei period. He was sometimes commissioned to clear out old houses in the Chubu region, and this hibachi was likely given to him as a token of appreciation during one such job. After receiving it, it was stored indoors without ever being used. Therefore, the ash and chopsticks inside the hibachi are believed to belong to the original owner.
Wooden box dimensions:
Approximately 32 cm x Approximately 32 cm
x (Depth) Approximately 29.5 cm
This is the hibachi that fits inside.
◉ Product photos were taken both indoors and outdoors. The color of the hibachi appears quite different under natural light and indoor lighting. The hibachi itself shows only slight deterioration due to age. The wooden box, however, has various damages such as dirt from age, cracks in the wood, warping, signs of insect damage, and places where nails have come out.
